Zakat Calculator Pakistan – Calculate Zakat & Nisab Online
Use this Zakat Calculator to estimate your annual Zakat on cash, gold, silver, business inventory, shares and other zakatable wealth. The calculator applies the standard 2.5% Zakat rate to your net eligible assets and compares them with the Nisab threshold you select. Because silver prices and official Pakistan Zakat thresholds change over time, no outdated rupee value is hardcoded into the tool: you can calculate a silver-based Nisab from today’s rate or enter a trusted custom Nisab.

How the Zakat Calculator Works
The calculator first totals your zakatable assets, including cash, bank balances, gold and silver, business stock, relevant investments and money that should be included in your Zakat calculation. It then subtracts the liabilities you enter and compares the resulting net zakatable wealth with your chosen Nisab.
If your net zakatable wealth reaches or exceeds the selected Nisab and your Zakat date has arrived, the tool calculates 2.5% of the net amount. If you select that your annual date has not yet arrived, it displays the amount only as an estimate rather than stating that payment is currently due.
What Is Nisab?
Nisab is the minimum level of qualifying wealth relevant to whether Zakat becomes obligatory. This calculator offers a silver-based option using 52.5 tola of silver. Because silver prices fluctuate, you enter the current price per tola and the calculator creates the threshold at the time you use it.
There are scholarly differences about which Nisab benchmark should be used in some circumstances. Pakistan also announces a separate annual Nisab for Zakat deduction at source from applicable bank accounts. For that reason, this calculator also provides a Custom Nisab option. You can enter a figure supplied by a trusted scholar or relevant official notification instead of relying on a permanently fixed amount.
Which Assets Should Be Included?
Cash, Bank Accounts and Digital Wallets
Include cash you own and qualifying balances held in bank accounts or digital wallets. Money saved for a future purchase does not automatically cease to be zakatable merely because you have assigned it a purpose.
Gold and Silver
Under the Hanafi approach, gold and silver are generally included in Zakat calculations. Use an appropriate current value reflecting the amount you could realistically receive for the metal rather than simply entering its original purchase price or jewellery retail markup.
Business Inventory
Goods acquired for resale are generally treated as trade inventory and should be valued for Zakat on your Zakat date. Business equipment, office furniture and other assets used to operate the business rather than held for resale are treated differently.
Shares and Investments
Share calculations require extra care. A person who actively buys shares for resale may have a different calculation from someone holding shares as a long-term investment. Instead of applying an unreliable fixed percentage to every portfolio, this calculator asks you to enter the zakatable investment value determined under the method appropriate to your situation.
Personal Home and Vehicle
A house in which you live and an ordinary personal vehicle are not entered simply because they have a high market value. Property or other assets acquired specifically as trade goods for resale can have a different Zakat treatment.
Can Debts Be Deducted?
Debt deductions can involve important fiqh details. The calculator therefore does not automatically deduct a mortgage, loan or future expense. Enter only liabilities that you have determined are properly deductible under the scholarly guidance you follow. This prevents a large long-term debt from incorrectly reducing your Zakat calculation to zero.
Zakat on Gold Jewellery
For a Hanafi calculation, gold and silver jewellery is generally relevant even when personally worn. The value should reflect the actual gold or silver content and an appropriate current market or resale valuation. Other schools of Islamic law may treat permissible personal jewellery differently, so users following another madhhab should use the calculator together with guidance specific to that school.
When Should Zakat Be Calculated?
A practical method is to maintain one annual Islamic-calendar Zakat date. On that date, identify your qualifying wealth, apply the appropriate Nisab rules and calculate the amount due. If you are unsure when your first Zakat year began, have missed previous years, or your wealth moved above and below Nisab, seek qualified guidance rather than guessing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What percentage of wealth is paid as Zakat?
For the type of monetary wealth covered by this calculator, the standard annual rate used is 2.5% after determining the relevant zakatable net amount and Nisab.
Does the calculator automatically know today’s silver price?
No. This is intentional. Precious-metal rates can change frequently, and embedding an old price could produce an incorrect Nisab. Enter the current silver rate per tola from a trusted market source whenever you calculate.
Is the Pakistan government Nisab the same as this calculator’s silver Nisab?
Not necessarily. The official figure announced for deduction of Zakat at source from applicable bank accounts serves a specific regulatory purpose and changes by Zakat year. If you want to use that threshold, select Custom Nisab and enter the current officially notified amount.
Can this calculator replace a Mufti?
No. It is designed to perform the arithmetic accurately after you enter the correct zakatable values and Nisab. Complex questions involving debts, pensions, partnerships, shares, business structures, inheritance or previous unpaid Zakat may require individual scholarly advice.
Before You Calculate
Use current values, avoid counting personal-use assets as business stock, do not subtract every future liability automatically, and confirm the Nisab method you follow. Once those inputs are correct, the calculator can give you a clear and repeatable Zakat estimate without depending on a particular calendar year.
